Putting Words Into Action
By Doing More’s mission is to
turn thoughts and prayers
into actions by responding to
local community situations
beginning with the provision
of basic, required,
classroom supplies,
free of charge,
to as many as are in need.
(It's like Hunger Games...
but everyone is a tribute...)
Too many students sent to
school are ready to try,
yet begin their day, their year,
their educational career,
at a disadvantage
that they have absolutely
no control over:
the financial situation
of their family.
This will influence,
in a negative way,
their food availability and
nutritional resources,
the fulfillment of their clothing
and shelter needs,
and their school supplies.
Our goal is to chip away
at these needs
by ensuring that all children
start the day at their desk
with the same tools
as their classmates.
Data driven by compassion
is the standard.
Collecting “First Day”
supply lists from each
local school district,
a master database
of all supplies used
in a specified region is created
as the basis for the levels of
an initial supply inventory
to be established
and made available
so that students can
receive their own orders
based on their own
personal needs.
Two models available
to implement the program
based on each
area's requirements.
For those with no onsite
storage space available,
orders can be assembled
offsite and then delivered
to each location.
Assistance can be present
to handle onsite distribution,
or orders can be dropped off
with a local contact
and distributed from within.
Alternatively,
By Doing More's plan is
designed by nature
to be all inclusive
and self-sustaining;
we can design
install and implement
an onsite supply store
for those in need
at any central location
(sample pic below)
that will be initially
stocked and maintained
through the BDM Fund,
with the eventual goal
of it becoming provided for
through other local donors.
Assistance is also available
to organizations wishing
to create their own
in-house facility.
The design of the progression
of BDM's outreach is
to wash-rinse-repeat.
Start small,
building on successes,
then adding on
the next solution
that can be provided,
and repeating the process.
We always can “do more”
if we learn
from our mistakes so
we can generate
even more achievements.
Our prototype mobile store is
designed to offer over
40 different school items:
from Crayola crayons
& Elmer Glue sticks
to TI-30XIIS Scientific Calculators,
with the ability to expand,
or modify, as needed,
rolling with ease,
from one classroom to another.
The initial supply inventory
provided with the initial install,
has already been expanded
by other donations.
Using efficiency
maximizing methods,
like just in time ordering,
overhead costs are minimized
to allow for the greatest influence
on the community's needs
that can be supported
by the donations received.
When the prototype was
first installed May of '24,
the first question one
of the moms asked was:
"Where was this in August?..."
Funnily enough,
the very conversation that
inspired the idea that
we're experiencing today
didn't even happen
until September.
She was assured that
that coming August '25,
she would be all set!

The purpose of this mission is
about improving how kids
feel about themselves
through the honoring
of their supply needs.
They will always receive the
same quality brands like
Crayola, Elmer's, and
Texas Instrument,
that our parents
would try to buy for us,
and we hope to provide
for our own kids,
grandkids, and neighbors.
This is level of QC is easiest
managed through bulk
purchasing with known vendors,
though if any company or
distributor would wish to donate,
details can always be worked out.
Any physical product donations
will always be considered
based on the offers being made.
